Nightwing #17

Part two of "Nightwing Must Die!" arrives with a cover that pulls no punches: a white-haired, scarred figure in a red-and-black costume lunges forward wielding a pair of fighting sticks, debris scattering around them against a fiery, tunnel-like backdrop. The tagline "Deathwing Descends!" frames the threat beautifully, and Javier Fernández's kinetic composition — notably inspired by Eddy Barrows, as the cover itself acknowledges — gives the whole thing a breathless, hurtling energy. Tim Seeley, Fernández, and colorist Chris Sotomayor are clearly bringing their best to this Rebirth-era chapter of Dick Grayson's story.
