Newlyweds Holly and Keith visit the old west and come across a pair of evil prospectors who are forcing slaves to mine uranium. The radiation from the mine has mutated the slaves into grotesque humanoids as well as a gila monster into a huge dinosaur-like mutant. The prospectors name the monster "Rex" and use it to keep the slaves in check. The couple try to flee from the prospectors, but are cornered in the ghost town "Satan's Coffin". An Indian medallion given to the couple by a woman of the Molevis tribe conjures up the spirits of long dead outlaws who save the couple.
