When allied leaders greenlight a major offensive across Asia, Private Graham finds himself on point—the foremost scout approaching enemy territory through the treacherous Ko-Sen Range. But unknown to him, intelligence officer Captain Don Leash has already penetrated deep behind Japanese lines and uncovered a devastating trap: the enemy plans to mine the very pass the American advance must traverse, luring infantry and armor into a catastrophic ambush. Graham and Leash must race against time and Japanese forces to expose and neutralize the scheme before an entire division walks into destruction.
Sally O'Neil boards a train for a much-needed vacation, only to have her plans derailed when a passenger is murdered in the parlor car—and a mix-up with identical traveling bags puts her at the center of the mystery. Police reporter Chic Carter arrives at a Long Island estate for what should be a routine society wedding—until he spots half the town's crooks and con artists mingling with the guests, all apparently eyeing John W. Alsop's half-million-dollar Shamrock Emeralds, a wedding gift for the bride. When the emeralds vanish and the butler is found murdered, Carter must navigate a web of suspects, thieves, and hidden motives to uncover who really pulled off the heist and why.
Quicksilver races to the Western Plains after German saboteurs begin systematically slaughtering America's cattle supply, a desperate Nazi plot to starve the nation. When he rescues a young woman caught in their crossfire and uncovers a local Nazi sympathizer pulling the strings, the crimebuster joins forces with outraged cattlemen to hunt down the saboteurs before they can strike again. It's a high-stakes showdown where Quicksilver must outmaneuver both enemy agents and the chaos of the frontier itself.
