Sue’s roommate Lynda is engaged to writer George, but when he’s blinded in an auto accident, she moves away and asks Sue to inform him. George mistakenly thinks it’s Lynda who visits him, and she doesn’t tell him otherwise. Sue becomes George’s friend and assistant and they fall in love. George tells Sue that a famous surgeon may be able to restore his sight, and Sue is afraid he won’t love her when he discovers she isn’t Lynda (who’s married someone else). George regains his vision and tells Sue he knew she wasn’t Lynda, and really loves her.
