Mutt & Jeff #62

Bud Fisher's beloved comic-strip duo brings their signature absurdist logic to this February–March 1953 issue, with cover art by Sheldon Mayer capturing a perfectly silly winter scene. Jeff is bundled up outdoors in the snowy yard, confidently attempting to mow the lawn on snowshoes, while Mutt leans incredulously from a window demanding to know how that's even possible. It's the kind of cheerful, groan-worthy gag that made Mutt & Jeff a staple of American humor, and at a dime a copy, this was wholesome comic relief for the whole family.
