In the main Monte Hale story, the hero pursues the Pueblo Kid, a criminal who knocked out a guard and escaped. After a chase involving a stagecoach and a runaway coach that crashes, Monte catches up with the outlaw near the Pueblo village. In the backup feature "Gabby Hayes and The Prairie Clipper," Gabby Hayes encounters a remarkable new contraption—a flying machine called the Prairie Clipper—which he and others must protect from those who would exploit it for illegal profit.
