Micronauts #3

Marvel's tiny heroes make a very big impression in Micronauts #3 (1979), as the cover — penciled by Michael Golden and inked by Joe Rubinstein — drops us right into the chaos of "Death-Duel at Daytona Beach!" A sleek white-and-red spacecraft tears through what appears to be a crowded street or corridor, sending panicked bystanders scrambling while colorfully costumed Micronauts engage in a fierce firefight amid explosions and energy blasts. The sense of scale is wonderfully disorienting, with tiny warriors waging an all-out battle against a very human-sized backdrop of confusion and collateral mayhem.
