Metal Men #3
Part of DC's 1993 four-issue miniseries, this third chapter promises escalating danger under the banner "Reign of the Missilemen!" — and the cover by Dan Jurgens and Brett Breeding delivers on that threat immediately. A massive, hooded green armored figure dominates the foreground, missiles bristling from its back and fists clenched, while two Metal Men — one a fluid silver form and another a molten gold figure — are caught in its crushing grip. With "Metalurgency" as the story title and Mike Carlin writing alongside Jurgens on art, this miniseries clearly wasn't shy about putting DC's robotic heroes through their paces.
