Marvel Two-in-One #95

This January 1983 Marvel Two-in-One brings together an unlikely pair — the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing and the Living Mummy — in what the cover promises to be a wild, ancient-world throwdown. Ron Wilson's pencils and Chic Stone's inks put both heroes in dire straits, with massive coiling serpents wrapping around the Thing and the bandaged Living Mummy simultaneously, while a mysterious glowing Egyptian figure and a female companion appear in a burst of radiant energy at upper right, and a pith-helmeted bystander watches the chaos unfold. It's a wonderfully pulpy collision of monster-movie horror and Marvel muscle that makes issue #95 a genuinely fun pick for fans of either character.
