Marvel Team-Up #15

Spider-Man trapped on subway tracks with a runaway train bearing down — Ghost Rider roaring in on his motorcycle, flaming skull ablaze, reaching out to save him — this November 1973 cover by Gil Kane, John Romita, and Frank Giacoia crackles with genuine life-or-death urgency. The exchange of dialogue balloons ("It's too late for me — too late!") perfectly sells the desperate stakes of this team-up, while a second Ghost Rider silhouette looms above the 42nd Street sign for good measure.
