Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars #4
In "Situation: Hopeless!", the tide turns brutally against the heroes as the villains seize victory, dismantle their base, and trap their allies. With Thor and the Enchantress arriving too late to stop the onslaught, the X-Men make a desperate alliance with Magneto while the Wasp exploits the chaos to break free. Meanwhile, Torch and Captain Marvel channel their powers through Iron Man to blast through a mountain range, only to find refuge in a hidden alien village—where a mysterious woman tends to their wounds, unaware that Galactus watches from above. Written by Jim Shooter and illustrated by Bob Layton, with inks by John Beatty, colors by Christie Scheele, and letters by Joe Rosen, this 1984 issue features cover art by Bob Layton.
