While the villains are occupied, Doom infiltrates their base and revives Ultron to claim dominance—when the remaining villains return, they reluctantly accept Doom as their new leader. Meanwhile, the heroes establish their own base, where Magneto secretly meets the Wasp, and the Thing reverts to his human form, Ben Grimm.

In "Kampf und Krise!", the Hulk grapples with a fading intellect as tensions rise among Earth's mightiest heroes. When Spider-Man intercepts a secret plan by the X-Men to join Magneto, he turns against them—only to have his memories erased by Xavier. With powers waning, Doom recruits two new allies, while Thor resurrects the Enchantress, setting them on a path of their own. As dawn breaks, the Hulk's momentary lapse in vigilance leaves the heroes unprepared for a swift and overwhelming assault by their enemies.

In "Den Tod vor Augen!", the heroes are overwhelmed as their enemies triumph, rescue their captured allies, and destroy their base. With Molecule Man attempting to impress Volcana by bringing down a mountain, Thor and the Enchantress return to find their team defeated—only to be attacked. As the X-Men join forces with Magneto and the Wasp seizes her chance to escape, Torch and Captain Marvel channel their powers through Iron Man to blast free from beneath the rubble, fleeing to an alien village where a mysterious woman tends to their wounds.

In "Vier Mächte streiten!", as Galactus' home ship arrives, rival factions scramble to devise a plan—Torch links with the Zsaji, the Wrecking Crew takes on Molecule Man and Volcana, and the Enchantress tries to seduce Doom. Meanwhile, Mr. Fantastic and Magneto each attempt to draw Galactus’ attention, only to be punished for their efforts. Chaos erupts as heroes and villains clash again—until the X-Men arrive to turn the tide, saving the day while Colossus is gravely injured and seeks help from the healer Zsaji.
