As the conflict escalates, the High Commissioner intervenes, revealing a greater threat—the Black Galaxy, which has long menaced Rigel and now endangers Earth as well. Written by Stan Lee and Marc-Oliver Frisch, with dynamic art by Jack Kirby and inks by Vince Colletta, this issue features a cover by Kirby and Marie Severin that captures the cosmic scale of the battle.

Thor überwältigt die Besatzung des Raumschiffs das ihn nach Rigel bringt, dem Planeten von dem, Tana Nile stammt. Um die Erde zu retten, muss er den "Weltraum-Griff" stoppen indem die Erde aus ihrem Sonnensystem gezogen wird. Die Kolonisatoren erkennen schnell, wie mächtig Thor ist, weshalb sie ihre stärkste Kampfmaschine gegen ihn schicken, einen"Unzerstörbaren". Als Thor ihn besiegt und sich weiter vorkämpft, schreitet der Hochkommissar ein und macht ihm ein Angebot, und berichtet ihm von der Gefahr durch die Schwarze Galaxie, die Rigel seit langem bedroht, und auch der Erde gefährlich wird.
