In this 2014 issue from the Hachette Marvel Official Collection, writer Duane Swierczynski and artist Jason Pearson deliver a sharp, subversive twist on superhero tropes. Domino stands before the senate, exposing the truth behind Deadpool’s fabricated tale—only for the entire scenario to unravel as a delusional narrative spun from a mental institution. The cover, by Jason Pearson, captures the moment of revelation with bold, dramatic flair.

Domino appears before the senate and tells them the story Deadpool has fed them is a complete lie. Team X is made up of, not super powered agents, but delusional medical experiments gone wrong who decided to try and play hero. When eveyone's guard is down, Deadpool and Domino flip the script again by proving they are, in fact, super powered agents who have been tasked with killing a bunch of difficult senators. Bullets fly and public servants die as Deadpool and Domino complete their mission and escape. BUT the whole thing turns out to be a comic story DP has created from the loony bin.
