Martian Manhunter #16
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis March 2000 issue wraps up the four-part "Rings of Saturn" arc with a cover by Tom Mandrake that wastes no time setting the stakes — a small but determined Martian Manhunter, rendered in vivid green and red, faces down a looming mass of snarling, red-eyed creatures that dwarf him completely. The stark black-and-white rendering of those monstrous figures against the lone hero creates a genuinely arresting sense of overwhelming odds. John Ostrander and Mandrake close out their storyline here, and if the cover is any indication, J'onn J'onzz is heading into the conclusion outnumbered and fighting hard.
