Marmaduke Mouse and his friends encounter a scheme by Baron McSqueeze, a tax collector who has been robbing the kingdom's poor to steal taxes from the king, prompting the boys to seek help from Rubberhead to stop the villain. After confronting McSqueeze in Curwood Forest, the mice manage to recover the stolen gold and return it to the king, who rewards them with money. The story then shifts to the boys playing baseball, where comedic mishaps ensue as Marmaduke attempts to pitch, eventually getting tangled up with a strongman character in a series of physical gags involving weights and exaggerated strength feats.
