Magnus, Robot Fighter #13
In "The Evil Ark of Doctor Noel," Magnus faces a chilling threat from a scientist whose fanaticism pushes him to abandon Earth entirely—kidnapping civilians, including Leeja, to launch a one-way journey to a robot-free world. Written by Herb Kastle and illustrated with sharp, dynamic precision by Russ Manning and Mike Royer, this 1966 Western Comics classic sees Magnus tracking a desperate psychic signal through the void, racing against time to stop a madman’s exodus. The cover by George Wilson captures the eerie urgency of the mission, a 12-cent glimpse into a future where humanity’s greatest fear isn’t machines—but the people who hate them.
