“Alias”

Alfred E. Neuman has skied directly into a tree on this delightfully chaotic Jack Davis cover for MAD #212 (January 1980) — his gap-toothed grin completely unbothered as ski poles, gloves, and scattered gear fly in every direction across a snowy winter landscape. Inside, the Usual Gang of Idiots takes on Alien, Taxi, and more, with contributions from Dave Berg, Jack Davis, and Don Martin. It's a wonderfully absurd start to 1980 from one of humor publishing's most reliably entertaining institutions.
