“Wig Wam Bam (Part One)”

In "Wig Wam Bam (Part One)," Jaime Hernandez delivers a sharp, character-driven installment of Love and Rockets, capturing the restless energy of young women navigating friendship, identity, and shifting alliances. Maggie’s unease at a highbrow party in Pat’s East Coast home gives way to tension when she and Hopey return to find Mary has tossed their belongings out—triggering a flashback to their punk past, where Terry’s prank involving Lois, a bold party host and fan of one of Maggie’s relatives, reveals a moment of youthful recklessness. The story unfolds with Jaime’s signature blend of intimacy and wit, rendered in his distinctive, expressive style across both interior and cover, which he also created.
