“Bully For You”

In "Bully For You," Little Archie takes on a delivery job for stingy grocer Midas Mudge to earn money for new skates, only to find his sled has a mind of its own—careening through snowy streets and traffic, seemingly guided by fate to deliver food to Bobby and Sue Stringly, the town’s hungriest kids. Written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, this 1964 gem captures the charm and quiet magic of Riverdale with a heartwarming twist, all rendered in Bolling’s signature style, including his distinctive cover art.

To earn money for a new pair of skates Little Archie takes a job as a delivery boy for grocer Midas Mudge, the stingiest man in Riverdale. When Little Archie goes out for his first delivery, pulling the food on a sled, the sled gets away from him and slides down the snowy hill. As if it has a mind of its own, the sled winds its way through traffic until it brings the food to two of the poorest and hungriest kids in town, Bobby and Sue Stringly.
