“Ark Antics”

In "Ark Antics," Little Archie takes his dad’s story of Noah’s Ark to heart—literally—constructing a makeshift version from an old rowboat on Carson's Creek, charging jellybeans for passage. When Ambrose, left out with no beans and forbidden from boarding, hatches a plan to stop the flood by "pulling the plug" on the creek, chaos begins to ripple through Riverdale. Written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, this 1959 classic showcases the creator’s signature charm and humor, with cover art by Bolling himself.

After his father tells him the story of Noah and the Ark, Little Archie builds his own ark out of the old rowboat on Carson's Creek, and lets everyone come on the ark in exchange for a fee of jellybeans. Ambrose, who has no jellybeans and isn't allowed on the ark, tries to think of a way to prevent a flood by "pulling the plug" on the creek.
