Justice League United #2
This collection concludes Jeff Lemire's run on Justice League United, bringing together issues #6-10 of the series as part of DC's New 52 era. The story pits the team—including Adam Strange, Alanna Strange, Animal Man, and the newly introduced Equinox—against the cosmic threat of Infinitus, a being of immense power tied to the mysterious Harmonia. The arc also weaves in elements of Legion of Super-Heroes lore, with characters like Brainiac 5 and Saturn Girl appearing, as the team races to prevent universal destruction.
In "Homeworld: Part 1 of 2," Equinox answers a psychic distress call from Martian Manhunter, leading her to Mars where she discovers a breakout from the planet’s high-security gulag. With Animal Man retired and out of reach, she turns to the current Justice League for help, launching a mission to confront the escaped criminals on the red planet. Written by Jeff Lemire and illustrated by Jed Dougherty, with colors by Gabe Eltaeb and letters by Dezi Sienty, the issue’s cover by Neil Edwards and Jay Leisten captures the tension of a world under siege.
