Justice League United #1
"Justice League Canada" kicks off with a grounded, character-driven mystery as Stargirl and Animal Man sign autographs in Toronto, only to be drawn into a strange disappearance when anthropologist Adam Strange claims his assistant, Alanna Lewis, has been taken. With the Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow, they race to an alien burial site in northern Ontario, where they face off against mysterious invaders—while back home, a teen named Miiyahbin Marten awakens with unexpected powers after a violent attack. The story unfolds with a mix of personal stakes and cosmic intrigue, all anchored by Jeff Lemire’s sharp writing and Mike McKone’s dynamic art, with Marcelo Maiolo’s colors and Carlos M. Mangual’s lettering adding depth to the journey. The cover by Mike McKone captures the team’s arrival in a moment of quiet tension, setting the tone for a story that blends Earthbound drama with interstellar secrets.
