"Justice League Canada Part 1 of 5" kicks off with Stargirl and Animal Man signing autographs in Toronto when they're drawn into a mystery by Adam Strange, a local anthropologist whose assistant, Alanna Lewis, has vanished. As they follow him to an alien burial site in northern Ontario, the team—joined by Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow—faces off against extraterrestrial threats, while back on Moose Factory Island, teenager Miiyahbin Marten is attacked and transformed into Equinox. Across the galaxy, Alanna is freed from captivity by Lobo, discovering Hawkman was imprisoned with her all along. Written by Jeff Lemire and illustrated by Mike McKone, with colors by Marcelo Maiolo and letters by Carlos M. Mangual, the cover by Mike McKone captures the moment of revelation.
