Justice League Dark #6

Part of DC's 2012 New 52 initiative, Justice League Dark #6 closes out its opening arc with a cover that brings the team's uneasy alliance into sharp focus. Mikel Janín's artwork presents Zatanna seated in a meditative pose at center, flanked by a pale, red-suited figure on the left, a dark-haired sorcerer conjuring a spectral creature behind her, and a blond man in a jacket to the right — all overshadowed by a giant, watchful pair of eyes — accompanied by the foreboding tagline "Destiny brought them together… only DEATH will separate them!" Peter Milligan's supernatural superhero team book has been one of the New 52's more atmospheric offerings, and this issue promises a "Bloody Reunion" that feels every bit as ominous as that cover suggests.
