Justice League #2
In "Legion of Doom Part Two," the fate of Earth hangs in the balance as the Ocean Lords and Black Manta unleash the Death Kraken, a force capable of ending all life. Superman, Flash, and Mera battle alien-empowered metas, only to be saved by the sudden arrival of Aquaman and Wonder Woman. As Aquaman grapples with a dangerous choice—using the Tear of Extinction to empower his trident or seeking peace with the sea gods—Mera stands at the heart of a decision that could save or doom the world. Written by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Francis Manapul, Howard Porter, and Scott Godlewski, with colors by Manapul and Hi-Fi, and lettered by Tom Napolitano, this issue delivers high-stakes tension and emotional depth. The cover, by Mikel Janín, captures the looming threat in striking detail.

The Ocean Lords and Black Manta prepare to unleash the Death Kraken that will kill all life on Earth. Superman, Flash, and Mera fight off other metas who have been transformed by the alien sea waters, and are rescued by the arrival of Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Aquaman tells Mera how Poseidon said that she could use the Tear of Extinction to power Aquaman's trident enough to kill the sea gods, but Aquaman believes they need to reach out to offer peace to the sea gods rather than kill them. However, if he is wrong, Earth will be lost.
