Justice League #8
Part two of the "Legion of Doom" arc arrives with a cover that makes the threat crystal clear: the Batman Who Laughs — spike-crowned, grinning, and menacing in black armor — looms alongside what appears to be Cheetah as Wonder Woman and Aquaman are driven to the ground amid bursts of fire and chaos. Mikel Janín's linework crackles with kinetic energy, packing the composition with clashing figures and a genuine sense of overwhelming force bearing down on two of DC's mightiest heroes. James Tynion IV and Janín are delivering a villain-focused chapter that already feels like one of 2018's more ambitious Justice League stories.
