With Reggie misreading the mission as a chance to woo Midge, the resulting mix-up leads to a chaotic date and a very confused Archie left to sort out the mess. Written and illustrated by Bob Bolling, with coloring by Barry Grossman and letters by Bill Yoshida, the cover by Stan Goldberg captures the comic’s signature charm.
In "Choke Bloke," Reggie ropes Jughead into a girls' tennis tournament, then ramps up the chaos by targeting the other players with underhanded tricks—all to win the prize money and his own side bets. With Jughead’s usual indifference to competition, it’s up to Reggie’s increasingly desperate antics to keep the game going.
In "The Unwanted," Dilton’s latest science project has an unexpected side effect: a girl who won’t leave him alone. When he asks Moose for help, things spiral as Moose misinterprets the situation and enlists Reggie to “solve” the problem—only to accidentally set up a date with Midge. As Reggie fumbles his way through a romantic moment, Moose bursts in with the truth, leaving Reggie on the sidewalk with a face full of regret. Archie’s advice? Well, that’s still on the way.
In "Catch On," Jughead and Reggie take on the task of teaching a kid how to catch a baseball, each offering their own brand of confidence and comedic flair. Despite Jughead’s repeated misses, he remains certain that he’s a natural when it counts—though the kid’s still waiting to see proof.
