Archie Milestones Jumbo Comics Digest #9
In "Shoo Shark!", Archie’s odd bond with a gruff old wolf at the zoo takes center stage, unraveling in a flashback where Archie ventures to Mr. Lodge’s North Woods retreat for a school report on wolves. With Mr. Lodge, he takes a flight over the forest, but when their plane crash-lands, Archie awakens to a series of escalating dangers—first a caribou stampede, then a terrifying encounter with Kanyook, a lone, starving wolf once leader of his pack. Written and illustrated by Bolling, with inks by Stone and letters by Yoshida, this story unfolds with quiet tension and heart, all capped by a striking cover by Bob White.
