Jughead #150
A horse-drawn hayride through the countryside sets the scene on this cheerful 1967 Archie Series issue, with cover pencils by Bill Vigoda. Jughead sits amid the hay bales looking thoroughly unconvinced by the rustic outing, his speech bubble summing up his practical frustration perfectly — "This hayride doesn't make sense! We could get there two hours sooner by car!" — while the rest of the gang, including Archie, Betty, Veronica, and a few others, seem perfectly happy enjoying the ride past a red barn, with two more teens tumbling playfully above the title logo. It's a warm, funny snapshot of the gang's small-town summer adventures, with George Gladir writing and Al Hartley on art for the interior story "The Swinger.
