JLA #117 brings the third chapter of "Crisis of Conscience" to a head, with a cover by Rags Morales and Mark Farmer that crackles with raw tension — a glowing, anguished figure at the center takes simultaneous blasts from a red-costumed hero and a ring-wielding fighter, while a green-cloaked villain looms from above and robed figures scramble in the chaos below. The tagline "The Secret's Out!" sets the stakes perfectly, promising that whatever has been hidden is now very much in the open. Writers Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg, with interior art by Chris Batista and Mark Farmer, were clearly building toward something big in this 2005 DC release.
