Hornsby & Halo #4

The fourth issue of Image Comics' Hornsby & Halo brings another whirlwind chapter of this family adventure series, and Peter Snejbjerg's cover captures the spirit perfectly — a wide-eyed boy with glowing angel wings tumbles through a snowy, starlit sky with a small horned creature perched on his shoulders, while above them a fiery red demon figure wields a flaming trident and a girl conjures flames of her own. It's a lively, warmly illustrated collision of the celestial and the infernal, colored beautifully by John Kalisz with cool blues and crackling oranges that make the whole scene pop. Writer Peter J. Tomasi and the creative team are clearly having a great time with this one.
