Hornsby & Halo #3

The unlikely duo at the heart of this Image Comics series faces their most chaotic challenge yet — the cover by Peter Snejbjerg shows a winged blue angelic figure clutching a woman mid-air while a small red devil with a flaming head brandishes a weapon below, both surrounded by a pressing horde of decomposing undead figures swarming from every direction. John Kalisz's colors make the fiery orange and cool blue of our two leads pop brilliantly against the pale, decaying mob closing in around them. Peter J. Tomasi's "Family Odysseys" series keeps delivering on its weird, heartfelt premise, and this third issue looks like a genuinely wild ride.
