Tommy Monaghan storms across this John McCrea cover in a blaze of chaos — guns blazing in both hands, green cape whipping behind him as demonic red hands claw up from the flames at his feet and debris flies through a burning city street. Garth Ennis and McCrea's "Ace of Killers" kicks off here, and the cover alone promises the sharp mix of gunplay and supernatural menace that makes Hitman such a compelling corner of the DC universe. A great entry point to a run that remains one of 2011's most satisfying collected reads.
