John Constantine has seen better days — on Simon Bisley's cover for this August 2010 Vertigo issue, a battered, bloodied Constantine stares out from a fractured mirror-like surface, wearing a prison-issue "INMATE" tank top, his face streaked with blood and his mismatched eyes wide with something between fury and desperation. At his feet lie a bloody knife and scattered pills, details that speak to the dark, visceral tone Peter Milligan is crafting in this second chapter of the "Sectioned" arc, with interior art by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Landini. Hellblazer at its grittiest.
