Hawkman #11
Hawkman dives straight at the viewer on this striking 2003 cover, his great dark wings spread wide against a brooding, golden-clouded sky as he swings a spiked mace-and-chain overhead — a winged warrior every bit as fierce as the birds wheeling around him. John Watson's painted cover work gives the Winged Wonder a raw, almost predatory intensity, with hawks and ravens sharing the air as natural companions to the ancient hero. With Geoff Johns writing and Rags Morales on interior art, this "Everlasting Love...?" chapter promises the mythic scope that made this 2003 run such a compelling resurrection of the character.
