Hawkman battles through a blinding snowstorm on this striking 2003 cover by Rags Morales, who both penciled and inked the image — the winged warrior gripping his signature weapon while two massive, snarling ape-like creatures loom and close in from behind. Bloodstains in the snow hint at the ferocity of the struggle, and the bold tagline "Whiteout!" perfectly frames the brutal, wintry chaos on display. With Geoff Johns and James Robinson co-writing and Morales on interior art as well, this is a sharp entry in one of DC's most action-packed ongoings of the era.
