Clint Barton fills the frame on this 2004 Marvel cover, decked out in his full purple costume and winged mask, arrow drawn back to his cheek and a full quiver bristling behind his shoulder — every inch the world's greatest archer poised for a shot. The warm amber background keeps the focus squarely on him, and the dynamic low-angle composition by cover penciler Carlos Pacheco and inker Jesús Merino gives the pose a satisfying sense of coiled tension. Writer Fabian Nicieza and artist Stefano Raffaele bring "The High, Hard Shaft" to its penultimate chapter here, making this a fine moment to be following Hawkeye's solo adventures.
