Hawkeye

In this 2003–2004 Marvel series, writer Fabian Nicieza and artists Stefano Raffaele and Joe Bennett put Clint Barton through a gritty, street-level crucible. After a violent betrayal leaves him framed for murder, the Avenging Archer must rely on his wits, his bow, and a handful of allies—including Natasha Romanoff and his estranged brother Barney—to clear his name. The story digs into Clint’s past with the carnival performer Buck Chisholm and the shadowy Jim Scully, testing the line between hero and outlaw. It’s a taut, eight-issue thriller that strips Hawkeye down to his human core.
