Two heroes who share the distinction of being the last survivors of their worlds stand together on an alien landscape, with a full view of Earth glowing behind them — Green Lantern in the foreground and the Martian Manhunter at his side, both gazing upward with quiet determination. Tom Grindberg's cover composition beautifully frames the partnership at the heart of "Last of Their Kind," with the JLA and the mysterious Access also promised inside. Ron Marz and Grindberg deliver a 1997 issue that pairs two of DC's most compelling outsider heroes in what looks to be a genuinely meaningful team-up.
