Green Lantern #36
The holiday season takes a sinister turn in this February 1993 issue, as the cover by Gene Ha and Romeo Tanghal shows Green Lantern tangled and struggling against a mass of Christmas lights — a gift tag reading "From: Dr. Light, To: Green Lantern — Have a Deadly Christmas!" leaving little doubt about who's responsible. A second Green Lantern figure charges in from the upper left, while a decorated Christmas tree laden with ornaments, candy canes, and even a tiny Batman figure anchors the festive-yet-menacing scene. Gerard Jones's story "The Ghost of Christmas Light" promises a yuletide confrontation that makes this one of the more memorably themed issues of the run.
