Green Lantern #153
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis June 1982 issue finds Hal Jordan in a desperate, straining struggle high above a planet's surface, his ring blazing green as he fights to contain what the cover blurb calls a "de-evolution bomb" — a large, ominous device wrapped in construct-green tendrils dangling below him. The cover, penciled by Ernie Colón and inked by Steve Mitchell, captures the stakes perfectly: Hal's expression of strained determination says everything, and his own admission that the planet's fate and his own hang on stopping this thing makes for a genuinely gripping image. "The Secret of the Starcycle!" promises outer-space action with the Green Lantern Corps that fans of the era will find hard to put down.
