Green Lantern faces a full-blown cosmic threat in this December 1980 issue, as the cover — penciled by Jim Janes and inked by Joe Staton — puts him squarely in the crosshairs of Dr. Polaris, who looms large in his blue magnetic-powered suit, taunting "You waste your time, Green Lantern! Today the Earth… and tomorrow… Dr. Polaris conquers the universe!" while a desperate crowd of civilians cascades down a city building behind them. The dramatic confrontation promises "super-science fiction action" at its most high-stakes, and a circular inset spotlighting Adam Strange blasting through space signals there's even more cosmic adventure packed into this issue.
