Harvey Comics' Green Hornet Fights Crime #38 from March 1948 captures the masked crimefighter mid-stride, cape billowing dramatically as he leaps over a downed, striped-shirted thug while leveling his gun at a blue-suited figure fleeing across an industrial rooftop below. The cover art — penciled and inked by Al Avison and Lee Elias — crackles with kinetic energy, tying neatly to the interior story "Crime and Combustion." With the Green Hornet also riding the ABC Radio Network at the time, this ten-cent issue arrived when the character was genuinely everywhere.
