“Mystery Train”

In "Mystery Train," Banshee, Husk, and Penance race through an interdimensional train with a singular goal: find Synch. Their journey brings them face-to-face with Chamber and Jubilee, and together they’re drawn into the Citadel of the Universal Amalgamator, where M-Plate manipulates Synch into powering a machine using his abilities—using his friends as leverage. The tension mounts as Synch stands at a breaking point, until a sudden twist from an unexpected ally shifts everything. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Terry Dodson, with inks by Rachel Dodson, colors by Felix Serrano, and lettering by RS and Comicraft’s Liz Agraphiotis, the cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson captures the chaos of the moment.

Banshee, Husk and Penance are rocketing along on an interdimensional train looking for Synch when they are reunited with Chamber and Jubilee. The team takes the train to the Citadel of the Universal Amalgamator where M-Plate is trying to force Synch to use his mutant powers to activate the machine. Once Synch's friends arrive, M-Plate uses them as pawns in her game. Just as Synch is on the point of doing the deed to save his friends, the mutant rat, Dirt Nap, leaps down and swallows M-Plate.
