About this Collection

This volume collects issues #37-42 of IDW's 2013 relaunch of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, continuing Larry Hama's original run. The storyline pits the Joes against new threats from Cobra, including the return of Serpentor and the introduction of the mysterious Chameleon. Classic characters like Snake Eyes, Scarlett, and Storm Shadow face off in action-packed espionage and military conflict.

In G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #7 (2013), Lt. Falcon leads a daring rescue of captured Joes in Benzheen, emerging from the mission with a severe facial injury, while the deposed emir is restored to power—and with him, control over the mysterious Krytron. Meanwhile, Jinx executes her assignment in Switzerland, uncovering a shocking truth: Destro designed the Krytron to be nonfunctional. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by S. L. Gallant with inks by Gary Erskine, colors by J. Brown, and letters by Shawn Lee, the issue’s cover by Gallant and Erskine captures the tension of a mission in motion.
