G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #19 (2018) kicks off a layered mission with the return of the Joes from Trucial Abysmia, welcoming their newest member, Mongoose. As a new team heads to Darklonia to uncover a Revanche project, Dr. Venom works in secret to reconstruct the Brainwave Scanner—and craft a Blue Ninja to contain the echoes of Snake Eyes’ mind. Meanwhile, Zartan outmaneuvers a Nightcreepers ambush, and Obake Obaasan delivers a striking new uniform to Dawn in Tokyo. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by S. L. Gallant, with inks by Brian Shearer, colors by J. Brown, and lettering by Neil Uyetake, the cover by S. L. Gallant captures the tension of a world where identity and memory are weapons.
