G.I. Joe #7
In G.I. Joe #7 (2009), Scarlett stands trial before a military tribunal, her life hanging in the balance as she defends her claim that Cobra remains a threat. With Hawk broadcasting her interrogation and Duke pressuring her to betray Snake Eyes, she makes a desperate call—only for Snake Eyes to slam the phone down and set off for Seattle, where he reunites with Mainframe. Meanwhile, Cover Girl arrives at base with Ace, Shipwreck narrowly escapes a deadly ambush, and the Fobbits uncover the truth behind the rogue robots that attacked. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by S. L. Gallant, with colors by Andrew Crossley and letters by Chris Mowry, the issue’s cover by Howard Chaykin captures the tension in a striking, high-stakes moment.
