Aug 2009 · IDW · 3.99 USD

In G.I. Joe #8 (2009), Cobra springs a daring rescue of the Baroness while taking Rory, Glynis, and Destro hostage—forcing Flint to oversee the evacuation of Destro’s castle as Duke, Cover Girl, Six Gun, and Beach Head join him. Meanwhile, Mainframe reveals his past departure from the Joes and the risks he’s faced, and Snake Eyes convinces him to help crack Mandrilobus’ hard drive, a task that excites him no matter the source. Hawk takes matters into his own hands, interrogating Stalker about Scarlett. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by S. L. Gallant with inks by Gallant, colors by Andrew Crossley, and letters by Robbie Robbins and Chris Mowry, the issue’s cover by Howard Chaykin captures the tension in bold, dynamic lines.
