“Warner Bros. Cartoons Present”

Dell's Four Color series gave Elmer Fudd his own spotlight in 1959, and this cheerful cover captures him in fine form — grinning ear to ear in the pouring rain while a friendly black crow holds a spread-open newspaper overhead as an improvised umbrella. It's a wonderfully warm little scene that shows off the gentle, good-natured side of the beloved Looney Tunes character, miles away from his usual hunting misadventures. A delightful ten-cent slice of Warner Bros. cartoon charm.
